Are you looking for all natural body scrub? My favourite body scrub is by Handmade Heroes, a Singapore beauty brand that hand makes beautiful and organic skincare products. The ingredients are vegan too!
What you see above is Super Duper Nourishing Rice Scrub, Christmas Mint. What I like is the use of the grounded organic rice for exfoliation instead of the common use of salt or sugar. Rice has been used by Asians for skincare purposes. Some uses Rice Water for facial wash, others use it as a facial mask for hydrating and brightening the skin. Are you one of them? This Rice Scrub also contains Cocoa Butter and Sweet Almond Oil that moisturises your skin as you exfoliates. The peppermint essential oil in it brings on a tingling, cooling effect on your whole body after you shower. That is why I love to use it when the weather is especially hot in Singapore. The mix of chocolate and peppermint aroma simply reminds me of Christmas. And that is why this Rice Scrub is named ‘Christmas Mint’ I guess. I think this would make a perfect Christmas gift for family and friends.
Note that there are no preservatives added. And water encourages the growth of mold and bacteria. So you need to ensure that no water gets into the container. Or you will find that mould will start to grow.
To use, simply scoop a spoonful of Rice Scrub onto your palm and then mix it with some water. Apply it all over your body and gently scrub for 3 to 5 mins. Towel off and that is it. You will feel your skin smooth and supple.
Are there other versions of Rice Scrub to choose from? You bet. For rose lovers and coffee lovers, they have Rose Petals and Butt Kickin’ Deep Detoxing Coffee Scrub. They just smell delicious.
Have you used a dry shampoo before? Well, I didn’t know about dry shampoo until I saw this. And I must say Handmade Heroes’ Drop Dead Gorgeous Dry Shampoo is quite amazing. My hair tends to get oily and flat easily and this Dry Shampoo simply absorbs the excess oil and makes my hair bounce back again. This is also great for people to use after their workout.
The ingredients used are: Rice powder, Kaolin Clay, Cocoa Powder, Bamboo Charcoal, Peppermint Oil, Eucalyptus Oil, Lavender Oil
Make sure your palm is dry. Shake some Dry Shampoo onto your palm and then massage it onto your scalp and hair. And then watch the volumizing magic happen.
Come, switch over to an all natural makeup remover that works just as well, if not, better. This Almighty Make Up Remover is made from Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Organic Sweet Almond Oil and Organic Extra Virgin Coconut Oil. These oils removes your make up easily and it nourishes and moisturises for your skin at the same time. You can also use this as your facial oil cleanser instead of your usual foamy facial cleanser. How? Simply put some Almighty Make Up Remover on a small wash cloth or a cotton pad and use it to wipe your face. Rinse off with water and that’s it!
