Blood Builder is a delicious drink that all adults and kids will love and it is very simple to make at home. You can even serve this to your guests before your home party starts which I did. 🙂 This yummy recipe is taken from the book, Juice Yourself Slim by Jason Vale.


Blood Builder Juice

  • 2 Apples
  • ½ Beetroot (skin peeled)
  • 1 Carrot
  • ¼ Lemon (skin leave on)
  • ¼ Avocado
  • 4 cubes of ice (optional)
  1. In a juicer, juice all ingredients except Avocado and ice.
  2. In a blender, add in Avocado flesh, ice and the juice and blend away till smooth. Enjoy your drink!
Use organic ingredients whenever possible.


Beetroot – Rich in Folate, Manganese and Potassium. Helps lower blood pressure, improve oxygenation to the brain, anti-inflammation, improve muscle oxygenation during exercise boosting stamina, suppress tumours. Lemon – Contains a high amount of Vitamin C, protecting you from cold and flu.

Request for this at your juice stall

Do you order ABC juice from a fruit stall? ABC (which stands for Apple, Beetroot and Carrot) is a common juice that people would order. Now, you just need to ask them to juice in a few slices of lemon,  a small piece of avocado and that will make it your Blood Builder. No avocado? Even adding abit of lemon will make your ABC drink taste more delicious. Try it.



I actually tweaked this recipe abit due to the size of the ingredients. The original calls for 2 small carrots. Instead of using 2, I use 1 big carrot.

From this recipe, I learned a trick. And that is for juice that has a sharp taste, blend the juice with Avocado to tone down and smooth out the taste. 😉 Enjoy.
